womadelaidThe WOMADelaide Festival features 4 days of amazing performances by over 400 of the world’s best traditional and contemporary musicians, as well as artists, dancers, and thinkers from all over the world.

Beginning in 1992 this event has developed to promote the music of cultures to develop global understanding. This is a family-friendly event as there are workshops and activity areas for kids.

Visitors can also expect to satisfy their taste buds, as there is a cooking program and various foods stall all occurring in Botanic Park, which resides in Adelaide, Australia.

Artists + Performers

Expressions of Interest from artists wishing to perform at WOMADelaide 2017 will be taken from 1 May – 1 August only. Please see information on how to apply HERE. Note that we do not take applications for KidZone, Taste The World or the workshops programs and that artists will be contacted only if more information is required or an invitation is forthcoming. Please note that we are unable to service ongoing phone/email enquiries on the status of unsolicited applications, thank you for your understanding.

WOMADelaide is not currently looking for any event staff. Details of any positions sought will be posted here when they become available.

Media materials for WOMADelaide 2017, and accreditation details will be available here following the release of the 2017 program.


A limited number of tertiary student placements may be available with WOMADelaide between Nov 2016 and Mar 2017. Details of these will be posted here IF they become available. Unless you are doing a relevant tertiary course we are unable to accept high school students or others for work experience. Please note that unfortunately we do not have time to answer additional, individual questions from students.
