MTN Bushfire is looking for inspired African and international musicians and artists in all creative mediums to “Bring their Fire” and support the Festival’s “Call to Action” mandate that donates profits to Swaziland’s orphans through NGO Young Heroes, as well as contributing merchandise proceeds to non-profit BoMake Rural Project’s community development projects.
Now in its 11th year, MTN Bushfire has a well-deserved reputation worldwide for its visionary approach, authenticity and call to action for encouraging awareness of social change. It was named as ‘one of the seven African festivals you really have to see’ by CNN and as one of the ‘top ten festivals to visit in the summer of 2014’ by MTV Iggy/The Future of Music. The 2018 edition is slated for 25 to 27 May 2018. The call for applications opened on 14 August 2017. Interested artists have to fill an online form available here.
With admissions of over 25,000 during three days, MTN BUSHFIRE provides unparalleled opportunity for both established and emerging talent to “Bring their Fire” to this important and high profile event with attendees from around Africa and the world.
Due to the large number of submissions, only successful applicants will be contacted.
